JNTU Engineering Colleges Conduct Anti-Drug Poster Awareness Program
As part of the Telangana state government's efforts to combat drug abuse and harmful addictions among youth, an awareness program was conducted in JNTU Engineering Colleges.
JNTU Manthani engineering college principal B. Vishnu Vardhan stated that the state government is working tirelessly to make Telangana a drug-free state. As part of this initiative, various awareness activities are being conducted in educational institutions.
He said that the Anti-Drug Awareness Poster Campaign is part of these activities. The event, held at JNTU Engineering College in Manthani, saw participation from local police officials, faculty members, and students.
Ramagiri SI Praveen Kumar emphasized that students should stay away from harmful addictions and focus on their future. He advised them to be aware of peer pressure and not fall into traps that could damage their lives and careers. As part of the campaign, students took an anti-drug pledge, and many showcased posters conveying messages about the dangers of drugs.
Faculty member Srivani stated that awareness and education are powerful tools in preventing drug abuse. She encouraged students to act as ambassadors in spreading anti-drug messages.
